Art Works

All of these Art Works start with nothing more than a vague idea based on a feeling I have. I try to make this idea come to life using repurposed wood and multiple layers of epoxy and build them up one layer at a time. These are large and heavy pieces that are simply stunning to view in real life. No amount of pictures here will ever do it any justice!

Each piece of wood used is carefully selected, planed, sanded, cut, manipulated, poured, swirled, sanded down some more, polished, oiled, mixed, heated, and repeated over and over again until I see my idea come to life (it's a lot of work!). The numerous layers of epoxy (up to 10+ depending on the work) make it so that every angle, every light condition, every season, even your perception and mood offers unique perspectives.

The wood and colours combined with the sheer size and endless details come to life offering a depth and dimension that only time, dedication, and personal expression can create.
